The area known as ‘Taormina Mare’ (Beaches to Taormina) is the coastline below the cosmopolitan hilltop town of Taormina.

One of the most beautiful spots along this coast is Isola Bella – well worth a visit for excellent photo opportunities or a delicious fish lunch.

The east coast offers dramatic coastal scenery and beaches range from long sandy stretches in Giardini Naxos to small pebbly coves in Mazzaro and Isola Bella – opening up to wide shingle beaches with beautiful clear waters in Mazzeo and Letojanni. All are easily reached by public transport.
